Free IVF Egg Freezing for Cancer Patients
Cancer treatment can impact a woman’s fertility. One option for this is “egg freezing”. Fertility clinics offer this service. Eggs from the woman are collected before cancer treatment begins and are cryo-preserved (“frozen”). After the cancer treatment is over the woman can then use her frozen eggs to get pregnant using IVF. Egg freezing has become a standard offered of many fertility clinics, but it’s expensive.
Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine has a program called “Fertility Rescue”. It provides free egg freezing for cancer patients who want to preserve their fertility while they undergo cancer treatment. The egg freezing cycle is valued at $10,000 and offered free to cancer patients.
Check Fertility Rescue if you or someone you know is facing cancer treatment that could threaten their fertility.
